LCR OC Summer Bonfire

Our chapter had a fantastic time at our Summer Bonfire on July 8, 2022.  It was a great day on the beach with members, new friends, sun, and fun.  Thank you to Doyle B. for helping set up and for sharing his photos. Action Alert! Reform CA needs YOUR HELP!

From our friends at Reform CA - They will be donating $2 for local Log Cabin chapters for EVERY SIGNATURE gathered.

These signatures HAVE TO BE RETURNED TO REFORM CA by the last day of April.

 

SIGN THE TAXPAYER PROTECTION AND GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY ACT:  An important initiative is circulating for signatures right now that will protect California taxpayers from the relentless increases in taxes as well as the introduction of new fees (taxes in disguise!) without first being presented to the taxpayers for a vote.

This initiative gives voters the constitutional right to vote on all new or higher state and local tax increases. 

  • Stops bureaucrats from increasing fees and our cost of living without a vote of the Legislature or local government.
  • Stops politicians from promising to spend our hard-earned tax dollars like the gas tax on popular things like roads and then quietly shifting those tax dollars to other priorities.
  • Stops politicians from creating “hidden taxes” by calling tax increases a fee to prevent you from voting for approval.
  • Requires all tax proposals clearly explain to voters the use, rate, and duration of any new or higher tax so we can hold the government accountable for how it spends our tax dollars.
  • The state has over a $45 billion tax surplus and is raising taxes and fees again this year. Cities are too.


WHEN WILL IT STOP??  WHEN THE CITIZENS OF CALIFORNIA MAKE THE DECISION TO STAND UP AND SAY NO NEW TAXES!!!!!

Nelson & Huang for OC Superior Court Event

There are SO MANY OC Superior Court Judge positions open this year, and we're so delighted to have had a packed house for our forum with Shawn Nelson and Peggy Huang! And we even had another candidate join us (Eric Scarbrough who is DTS but not opposing a Republican) running for another open seat! Thank you all, and thank you to our venue (Royal Hen) for hosting us. Please let us know what you think about the venue!
