A fantastic event with Rick Leventhal on Saturday, May 13, 2023 to hear about his new book Chasing Catastrophe. It was an exciting night with members and new friends.  About the author: "From the front lines in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and other conflict zones to the base of the burning Twin Towers on 9/11 to the eye of countless hurricanes, Rick Leventhal chronicles some of the most amazing stories he’s covered in his thirty-five years as a news reporter, anchor, and Senior Correspondent—with some life lessons thrown in along the way." Thank you to George Stager III, president of LCR Detroit, for coordinating with us to make the event possible.

We also had the opportunity to hear from Scott Baugh, campaigning in the 47th congressional district, including the cities of Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Irvine, and Laguna Beach.  We learned more about his campaign, issues affecting the district, and he brought to light fentanyl prevention.

A special thank you to John Kristianson for helping to sponsor our event to make it a memorable night.

Thank you to Rick Leventhal's wife, Kelly Dodd, for attending. A wonderful night of fun and we appreciate the support.

Our sincere gratitude again to Andrew Quinio for his service and commitment as a board member for eight years. His willingness to volunteer and his dedication to LCROC is much appreciated and we are grateful for his tenure on the board. We are looking forward to Andrew's leadership as Pride Committee Chairman for LCROC.
