GATE 2017 exam today: Important points to remember

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 is scheduled to be held on February 4, February 5 and February 11 and February 12.

The examination for all the 23 papers (disciplines) will be conducted by an online computer-based test. A candidate can appear only in any one paper of the GATE examination. Some of the papers in GATE 2017 will be held in multiple sessions.

GATE is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and technology. The exam is conducted for admissions into post-graduate programmes (e.g., M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.) in Indian institutes of higher education with financial assistance provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and other government agencies. The scores may also be used by public and private sector.

How to RSVP

I have difficulty trying to RSVP to the invitations if I am planning not to attend.  Is the RSVP section only for positive responses?  How do I let the group know I won't attend?
