2nd Amendment Day Shooting Range with LCROC

Log Cabin Republicans of Orange County is excited to announce our long-awaited event:

2nd Amendment Day Shooting Range

Please join us for a fun-filled morning of exercising our 2nd Amendment rights, as guests of Camp Pendleton! We will have an exclusive area at one of their non-military outdoor shooting ranges, with instruction from former Marines. Our Board member Kevin Santamaria and Vice President John Merrill have gone target shooting at this excellent range, and met with the fine staff who thrilled to host us.

This will be a very safe event! If you've never used a firearm or don't own one, don't worry! Your ticket price will cover the cost of renting firearms and ammunition at the range. The instructors will walk you through the process, how to safely handle a firearm, and how to improve your marksmanship. For more experienced people, you may also bring your own handguns (no rifles or long guns, please) and ammunition.

Because we will be transporting weapons into a secure facility, we will require some strict rules and procedures for the event. Advance purchase will be required (see below). Also, we will be meeting at a rendezvous location in Costa Mesa, and renting a van to drive to Camp Pendleton. We will caravan as a group of up to 2 vehicles, so please be prepared to leave your vehicle behind.

1) Please bring your Government-issued ID (California or Federal). Admittance to the base will not be allowed without a valid ID.

2) All firearms must be legal in CA, and locked securely in a CA-legal transportation container, separate from any ammunition.

3) You must have your CA Firearms Safety Training if you are bringing a firearm to the event.

4) All magazines, ammunition, etc. must be transported in a separate secured container.

5) It should go without saying, but we want to be very clear: This is a private event - you are responsible for your own conduct, and we have the right to refuse anyone for the event.

We plan to arrive at the range at approximately 10:00 am, and will have use until approximately 11:30 am. Afterward, we will drive back to Costa Mesa, and go out to an optional lunch (ticket does not include the cost of lunch).

** Rendezvous location to be provided upon ticket purchase **
Saturday, March 30, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm (with a "no-host" lunch afterward in the Costa Mesa area)

We will be departing promptly, so if you are having trouble finding the rendezvous location please text us ASAP at the contact info in your ticket confirmation
